Making a mashup, need some help! Posted on: 14.02.2012 by Daine Ziadeh Hello guysI'm currently trying to make a mashup using ableton, i'm not very familiar with it, i used to play around with it like 4 months ago and now i'm back on it, trying to make something good. My problem here is that the acapella i'm using goes way to fast for the track, if i set the master tempo to the bpm of the track i'm using the acapella won't sound good at all... I want the acapella to go slower but not sounding like it's glitching, how do i get this in ableton? | |

| Janyce Henningson 19.02.2012 | Ok what I have done a few times is get it synced in Traktor to the bpm you want - usually I have an instrumental track playing at the correct tempo so I know it fits Then turn the volume down on the instrumental and record the acapella in Traktor at the correct bpm. Set your Ableton project to that bpm and turn off warping on the acapella you have just recorded in Traktor, and it should fit perfectly - you may have to chop the accapella a few times and move slightly to catch the bpm drift from Traktor. |

| Daine Ziadeh 15.02.2012 | The problem is the warping, it syncs perfectly in traktor even when the acapella is 147bpm and the song is 128bpm, but in ableton in sounds total shit... i don't know what to do.. |
| Kesha Pietrak 14.02.2012 | how much slower? because if its not all that much slower than the original song you could cut up the vocals and move the around a bit and itll still sound good..as long as it isnt a big difference in bpm |
