Breaks - Breakbeat Montage - Feedback Welcomed! Posted on: 30.04.2012 by Audrey Pinda Well, I've been busy just spinning this entire weekend. Weekend being Saturday afternoon, Sun, Mon. I've been delving more into Deep House, but I've been collecting some serious breaks over the past few weeks and have finally given myself a chance to sit down and give it a go proper with all the new tracks I've picked up. I also finally hooked up my MPKmini to my setup to try and mess about using slight FX (really I just used the echo a bit and filters), and I feel it's helped a ton making things a bit more interesting (both for me, and the potential audience). Really, messing around with the Deep House stuff helped inspire me to do that, and I feel like it's making a big help with the other stuff I generally mix as well Since I only have two USB ports, had to disable the dicers for now, but it's a tough call on wanting to get a USB hub. Wish I had ONE more USB port on the Macbook Pro. Would love any feedback on this mix. As much as I love to mess about with genre's that I'm not familiar with in and out, and go back to back with my friends, this mix is honestly the style I'd love to be playing out in the near future. I haven't nailed every transition, and until I can I'm not letting myself go for gigs, but I'm getting there I feel. Would LOVE feedback! http://soundcloud.com/crb/breakbeat-montage Practice, but things are progressing nicely Once again, forgot to restart the session with the playlist. So something is slightly off, but I can't figure out where it is. This is basically the mix. 00:00 Guau - I Hate Mtv (Original Mix) 02:04 Guerilla Tech - Running the Party (Factorfunk & Aggresivnes Remix) 04:50 Kultur & Colombo - Blow Me (Original Mix) 07:07 Destroyers & Aggresivnes - Babies Crying (Original Mix) 08:17 Colombo - Scent Of Love 13:02 Culture Shock - Asteroids 16:51 Guau - Cyclocosmia (Original Mix) 19:12 601 - Brothers & Sisters 20:53 Aggresivnes - Corrupt Souls 22:54 Guau - Puto Dinero (Original Mix) 26:16 Colombo - Clubbing 29:01 Blazer - Skill Chyper (Original Mix) 31:16 Bad Tango - Cortex 33:32 601 - Dirty North 35:42 DJ Icey - RikRak (Original Mix) 37:30 DJ Hero - B-Boy Hustle (Original Mix) 40:02 Meat Katie - Momento (Original Mix) 42:32 DJ Icey - Hold The Pain feat. Melanie Rev - DJ Icey Original Mix 45:17 Demolition Disco - Big Mama - Access Denied Remix 47:28 Jack Beats Feat. Donae'o - Jack Beats feat. Donae'o - You Should Know - Club Mix 49:19 DJ Hero - Pump Kerplunk (Original Mix) 50:47 Utku S. - Disco Fever (Original Mix) 52:02 601 - Sly So, something is off with the timing on that list. But I can't figure it out. It's somewhere near the beginning, so most of the stuff is off >.< (posted this pretty much over at DJF though as well, so if you see both it happens, looking for feedback) Not looking to get a million hits. One person able to give me a tip or feedback on a mix is worth a million views. I'm not playing out yet, I just spin at home and/or with friends for house parties. Would love any feedback that will improve my skills, or make me believe about something in a different light! | |
