Roni Batchan 04.05.2012 | no worries bro, keep practicing |
Lavona Farling 03.05.2012 | Belchman, Gonna try out th cue points and play with it thanks alot for your help! |
Roni Batchan 02.05.2012 | play good music man! if you're having to entertain your audience by doing anything else, you're kinda missing the point a bit.. i agree though, a mixtape is a little different from playing live in that sense - so you could work on cue point bits if you want i guess? depends what you want to achieve really |
Daine Ziadeh 02.05.2012 | The crowd would be entertained by the mix, by the song and by what you do with the music. I don't go to clubs to see dj's jumping or waving at me. |
Lavona Farling 02.05.2012 | Heey belchman, Thanks alot for your tips deffinatly gonna keep that in mind for my next mix, btw what do u suggest to do while playing a song to keep the crowd/viewer entertained? |
Roni Batchan 02.05.2012 | nah this is pretty good for a first effort man! a couple of things though.. be careful to not overuse your effects (especially the filter/gater combo) - it can really kill the mix if you use it too much, and in the middle of phrases (like the tools who always overuse flanger) - keep it for building energy before a massive drop, or effecting the very end of an 8 bar section or something also, i'd say use EQs a bit more heavily when bringing in your tracks - then you can bring them in more gradually and keep the energy up otherwise props man, keep at it! |
