| Carisa Ridgel 14.11.2012 | The 2013 mix in the title made me smile, if this is the future... well, good bass music is sort of timeless I know rather little about trap but I enjoyed your mix, transitions are very well done and you keep the energy up well, the flow is strong in this one. For the criticism, some of the filter work seems a bit out of place sometimes and this might be a personal thing. Also things that I noticed but were actually rectified in some places in the mix (which is very pleasant), this is probably more personal preference. Too much vocals, especially in this genre can get very aggressive and tiring so a good balance of vocal/less tracks alleviates the listening fatigue. In some places scratching felt like a bit too much, maybe just the levels thing. I enjoyed breakdowns, for same reason too much boominess gets tiring quickly. But I understand, it's a very aggressive genre, and in a different setting none of those things might even be a slightest issue. Great job nonetheless. |
