I lost 10 lbs in the process but my debut EP is FINISHED!! Thanks for the support! Posted on: 20.01.2013 by Sheilah Kurzhal Hello guys! I haven't posted much in the production community
.. I've been over in "General" a lot lately. But I am proud to present my debut EP titled "Hello. My Name is Breed.". My artist name is I Λm. BRΞΞD ... (friends always called me Breed) But anyways .. here it is. I slaved away over these 6 songs for a couple of weeks straight. NO SLEEP. ZONE. GRIND. And struggled at times because my vision was to make this a conceptual EDM project .. but still include a couple of club / festival jams. Thanks for listening! I'd be glad to exchange in depth feedback w/ anyone who posts a song to this thread. I Λm. BRΞΞD - "Hello. My Name is Breed" 4ae95b0c900558b7e8bc599f2461ebfd.png 01. "Hello My Name is (Breed)" https://soundcloud.com/iambreed/01-they-call-me-br-d-free-2013 02. "Why" https://soundcloud.com/iambreed/02-why-free-dl-2013-brand-new 03. "Jon [ the separation ]" https://soundcloud.com/iambreed/03-jon-the-separation-free-dl 04. "Forever Land" https://soundcloud.com/iambreed/04-forever-land-free-dl-2013 05. "My Time" https://soundcloud.com/iambreed/05-my-time-free-dl-2013-brand 06. "I'm That Man" https://soundcloud.com/iambreed/06-im-that-man-bonus-track NOTE: I need help identifying an overall genre or classification for my "sound". Please help!! | |
Sheilah Kurzhal 22.01.2013 | Much. Damn. Love Grazz! I really appreciate your feedback ... especially not being really into the genre and all. Thanks for taking the time!! Got you locked in on Soundcloud, btw ... I'll check out your work tomorrow. (work in a few hours). I'm running Ableton .. These are not professionally mastered. I've simplified my mastering bus .. and I'm getting a louder, bigger sound ... but my mixes across the EP are actually off balance and a little unstable. I put in a lot of work during the creative stage w/ compressors and EQ to make everything (frequency-wise) fit. Pauses and glitches make for sneaky ways to do that as well. (Literally just cut crap out of the way raw) glitch baby. I'm almost done tweaking ... still a couple of things bothering me. My plan is to give the work away in exchange for good quality followers who appreciate the genre bastardization that I can't seem to help. I'm going to do an "official" release early February, I'll be removing / replacing all illegal audio samples and replacing them with something adequate. That way it's 100% original. This version will be digitally distributed through Tunecore. All the while .. searching for a label to call home and reaching out to blogs with hardcopies and other campaigns to gain exposure. I really appreciate the interest! Thanks a million, bro! Looking forward to checking your music tomorrow, bro!

For me, I've had to learn to do so. I made some choices that lead to being trapped in an extreme, hard work environment (commercial electrical construction) for several years .. I let it crush my creative energy. I've since, put in the work to change areas of my life that were not complimenting my passion .. while still being able to pay the bills comfortably, luckily. So I'm like a kid in a candy store now. I've balanced things out ... and every free second that I can dedicate to this, is extremely gratifying .. AND puts me one micro step closer to my end goal. Which is to create and design / for a comfortable - peaceful way of life ... FULL of music and visuals! Thanks, Dwonka! KEEP GRINDING HARD, BRO!

Jeannie Sickenberger 22.01.2013 | Sick tunes man, your hard work has payed off for sure! |
Linda Chavda 22.01.2013 | Just had a listen, definitely fresh sounding and 'different'. Big up on that, can't get away with the hiphop samples and as I said before not my kind of vibe, however I can see a lot of this going down well with people who are into it! Hope the tunecore release goes well for you. |
Nevada Edgette 22.01.2013 | Good stuff man! I admire the dedication to your craft. Please keep em coming. |

I like the blend of the different genres and the production value is top notch as well, great sounds in there, everything is mixed nicely. Few questions: if i didnt know any better i'd say those were professionally mastered tracks, are they? What DAW are u using to produce with as well? I know u have this as a free dl but have u thought about shopping it to some labels, seems high enough quality to me. Overall I'd say the 10lbs were worth it :P |

Jona Slon 21.01.2013 | Threw you a comment and a follow. I'm digging your other stuff |
Jona Slon 21.01.2013 | Definitely trap or future trap whatever you wanna call it. I enjoyed the tracks mate great work |
Sheilah Kurzhal 21.01.2013 | Demi - I swear to the heavens ... I'm halfway through the 2nd mix on your page. And has been sooooo smooth! First one was really energetic! Great work ... minus a couple of points where (it seemed) you allowed the signal to degrade a little too much (IMO), so you could lock in a mashup or what not. Executed very well minus what I just mentioned. That's an easy fix (Ableton Warp maybe) ... And all in all it was GREAT. Very gritty.. Lots of surprise .. I love being musically shocked or stunned. Second one is soooooo smooth. Flawless. I've been in Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop letting it FLOW off this mix! Thank you. And keep it up!! I love your artwork to for your mixes, btw! The irony is, your 2nd mix sounds like it was directly targeted at the females ... And below is the graphic I've been working to your mix ... it's for a group my boy (out in LA) and I are developing. 100% DIRECTLY TARGETING WOMEN, EDM GROUP ... SEXY TRAP is our intended genre. Our first EP is called "Victoria's Secret" .. THANK YOU FOR HELPING w/ THAT SEXY MIX!! I owe you big time! KT_Logo.jpg |
Sheilah Kurzhal 21.01.2013 | DEMI! MUCH appreciated! I'm checking you out on Soundcloud now. I'll follow and fav!

Sheilah Kurzhal 20.01.2013 | Thanks for the honesty and the bump. My comments are freakish because 6 months ago I committed to really growing my Soundcloud account ... I started remixing like crazy ... while simultaneously commenting on every waveform that crossed my path on SC, which in turn exposed people to me. I give good feedback or offer advice where necessary ... I slowed down on all that chasing (I still do it) ... but I also frequent some groups where everyone exchanges feedback. And I now have a lot of good friends and DJ's on Soundcloud that I share a mutual respect with ... so we comment and favorite each others stuff automatically regardless if you truly like it or not. To support one another. It's a lot of work. But after even just a week of CONSISTENCY ... talking to people .. asking questions .. answering questions ... reaching out ... The energy you exert for that one week ... will pay dividend 2-3 weeks out.
