2 midi fighters, Deckalized mapping, and the m-audio x-session mixer

I just recently bought the x-session mixer which is a midi USB mixer, and i was just wondering if that mixer plus 2 midi fighters would work as a solid beginners DJ kit. O, and I'll also be buying the audio 2 for my sound card. So i got that covered.

Also, because the mixer is midi will that interfere with the midi fighters and the deakalized mapping?

Thanks! Im excited to finally start getting some dj gear to start practicing with!

No conflict at all, just make sure in the Controller Manager you select the appropriate ins and outs for each controller.

yeah that sounds like the best way. i'll see if i still have my mapping for it basic functions and effect perimeters on the spare knobs and fader as a template

ok! thanks everybody for you help!

So then what i should probably do is just map the x session my self, just using basic functions like the cross fader, volume, EQ's, filter, gain and such? and the the deckalized mapping should cover most anything else i need; effects, play/ pause, and all the juggle and cue point extras?

Also, I would be using a USB hub because i only have 2 usb ports on my laptop. So would i want to hook up the midi fighters and x session to the hub and the audio 2 to the free port on the laptop?

That actually sounds like a great kit. The mixer gives you a lot of control over your mixing needs; you won't be doing any tricks with it but it does pretty well for basic mixing functions. I like the tsi in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UipT7QvMjcM ... seems like it would work great with two midifighters (I've played around a lot just with one midifighter and the x-sessions, it's a good portable kit).

That should work fine you will have to midi map the x session to traktor yourself though i have never seen a mapping for it. thats the mixer i started with using a korg nanopad and akia pads
