Use Midi-Fighter's mapping on padKontrol
Posted on: 09.02.2011 by Dj Tykarma
Hi,

I like the FX mapping for the midi-fighter but I have a Korg padKontrol.

As the padKontrol has exactly the same layout as the midi-fighter, except that the buttons are rubber and not arcade buttons, I was believeing it would be intereting to look if I can change template for the notes the padKontrol sends in order to match the Midi-Fighter and therefore be able to use any mapping made for the Midi-Fighter on my padKontrol.

Has anyone tried anything like that ? I believe Korg provides a template creation tool with the padKontrol but before starting, I wanted to make sure this is actually possible or if the Midi-Fighter has any special midi-messages or if any buttons are macro-message powered.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I am also trying to do this on my MPD26. If anyone has done this or knows of someone who can point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated.
