I'm new to controllerism and soon to buy a midi fighter classic. on the circuit board it has (my vocabulary is awful btw) an analogue expansion kit. i want to know if i can just solder on (for example) a rotary potentiometer straight to the board or if i need to put anything else on? (e.g. more circuit boards or wires etc.)
any reply is greatly appreciated thanks

you will need wires to add anything as all analogue controls have to go to ground, 5v and 1 of the A1-A4 slots of the board.

for example for a standard potentiometer

pin 1= ground
pin 2= A1
pin 3 = 5v

i hope this is of help to you,

be aware rotary encoders need to go to a digital expansion pin as do buttons those pins only require ground no power
