juggling recorded slicer 8 count
juggling recorded slicer 8 count Posted on: 06.04.2012 by Carola Wyllys Hoping someone can assist with mapping.classic MF. I am working off full version of traktor ( not traktor 2 with sample decks though...) MF currently on 4 banks mode: -bank 1 giving deck A insta-gradification -bank 2 giving deck B insta-gradification. Banks 3 & 4 just have 8 cue points set for deck A & B currently. Here is what I want to do...: -leave bank 1 and 2 alone -Keep banks 3 on deck A and bank 4 on deck B but somehow set the recorded slicer mode so the cue points allow me to juggle an 8 count... what mean by "juggling recorded slicer" is that technique found on Ean's MF mapping and now also a feature on his new VCI 400 in the performance section. I know enough how to map things.. i just understand how this recorded juggle thing is working. once explained I can set it up.. can u offer advice? thanks for anyones time who helps | |

Chasidy Heckenbach 06.04.2012 | the MF mapping and vci400 slicer are two very different things. the mf mapping just uses the traktor slicer with various different params for each button. the vci400 slicer sets the active cue at the current location when it's enabled "in > cues / set cue" and then each of the 8 buttons will have issue a "jump to active cue" followed by one of more beatjumps. i'm pretty sure it uses some firmware tricks tho as if u want to jump to the 4th slicer "cue point" you need to jump to the active cue and then issue a beatjump +2 and also a beatjump +1. u need a delay between the two beatjumps else traktor will ignore one of them. |
Carola Wyllys 07.04.2012 | so i understand that I need to utilize the slicer FX in advanced mode. but how do you get the cue points automatically set to be able to juggle them? |
