Midi Fighter Pro Beatmasher
Midi Fighter Pro Beatmasher Posted on: 09.08.2012 by Crysta Salmeri I am very keen to buy the Midi Fighter Pro Beatmasher. However it is powered by USB. I am running a 15" Macbook Pro. Both USB ports are being used. One by an Audio 4 DJ and the other by my VCI-100. I am happy with these but really want to introduce the Beatmasher Midi Fighter Pro. Any advice appreciated. | |

Matt Tsukayama 13.08.2012 | Word of caution: I have a pretty similar setup like yours and the the combination of putting the MBA to sleep with the self-powered USB somehow fried the logic board. I was able to have it replaced for free but since then I am making sure to shutdown instead of sleep and I also unplug the self-powered USB hub when not in use. |

Crysta Salmeri 13.08.2012 | Yeah that was my immediate thought. I tried it a while back and it did not work. Maybe the powered hub itself was the problem as is a pretty old one. I bought a new usb powered hub yesterday and is all apples now. Working fine. Thanks Bring on the Midi Fighter Beatmasher! |
Frederic Acidera 09.08.2012 | You can always use a powered USB Hub to have more USB ports available. |
