Transferring Traktor Library (wavs)
Posted on: 12.07.2012 by Billi Latawiec
Hello everyone,

I'm reformatting my laptop which means that I'll need to somehow transfer my Traktor library (I'm not using iTunes) to my fresh reformatted laptop. I understand that everything is saved (stars, beatgrids, etc.) if you are using mp3's, although I'm using wavs which may change things a bit.

Does anyone know what file(s) I will need to save to ensure I don't loose any track info (rating, beatgrids, etc.)?

Thanks,

You want to copy the whole traktor document folder to a flash drive or what not. Reinstall traktor and replace the new docs folder with your backup. Next time you boot it up, you will need to relocate the collection (point to the folder where your tunes are) which will take a while but i've done this several times with no problems. Good luck
