the granulizer can get close if you make the size 1/4 or 1/2, then have the repeat either 4 or 2 times... It's not the same and not really as modifiable as the beatgrid in VDJ but if you tweek the size and repeat knobs you can mess up the track pretty well...

VDJ is way better than traktor imo as everything is customizable when you open the hood and have a play around. If you get VDJ Pro you can also download chackl's new "beatgrid V.2" effect which takes atomix's initial idea and pushes it as far as it can go.

VDJ is whatever you view it as. If it works, don't worry about what other people say.

I'm sure the anti NI crew will pop in momentarily to reiterate what I just said, and then give you a list of 100 reasons why they hate evil NI. lol

People assume VDJ is for beginners. Do whatever you want, but that may cause you prejudice in your "carrer".

Some would say so, but one thing vdj has over traktor is that you can run VSTs. Its about the music you play.

I believe this has come up before, but waaaaaaaay back so it might take some hunting. I believe the consensus was beatmasher and something else. But not as nice as the VDJ one sounds. I do miss that effect.
