Need help with music for dubstep gig (halloween)
Posted on: 21.08.2012 by Maisha Lutcher
im doing a gig at a local place but i havent done a dubstep thing in awhile. ive been going where the money is and doing Top 40

im looking for genre changing awesome dubstep. The kind where people will convert to dubstep. Also after i converted them half way though the gig. Some sick nasty amazing wobbles.

Song and artist is all i need but links would be sick too

Also what you meant with your link, it has been seen.

Agree with this: I was believeing exactly this; what's wrong with a bit of old fashioned record shopping (sighs), it's not as if we even have to move away from the PC now!

I was halfway expecting someone to come in here and tell you to find your own music or talk about how you are taking a gig you aren't ready for and that maybe you should pass it to someone that is well versed in the "genre changing dubstep" you are asking for.

But Alas, no one did...

I guess it's better than the dude that asked us to make him a playlist...

Bar9
Borgore (if you want a lot of vocals)
Rusko
Gemini
Cookie Monsta
Datsik
Mt eden (calmer, less energy)
Emalkay (Emalkay - Fabrication all time favorite of mine)
Chase & Status ( They have mostly dnb tho)
Netsky (He also has mainly dnb)
The Others
Roksonix
Jakwob (a bit more "artistic" IMO,also somewhat calmer, nice female vocals on some tracks)

Seems about right for a diverse, US based audience.
If it's mainly hardcore fans, I'd go for a different playlist but it seems like it's gonna be a casual halloween party with dubstep so you 're good OP

Oh yea I'd also put other artists in my list but they were already mentioned.

Skism, Excision
Jaye Walkington

Curious Kontrol is a bit more 'Buzzy,' but it made me listen to dubstep.

Doctor P, Flux Pavillion, AC Slater (rock it out (electro-dub)) NERO!!! Zelda outerworld theme is kick ass and dub. Caspa, Downlink...good start there.
