Back from Ibiza.....
Back from Ibiza..... Posted on: 25.08.2012 by Lillia Datson Well i just got back from Ibiza on Friday. What an amazing place to see DJ's at work and a reminder of what can be achieved if you get yourself out there with mixes/promoting yourself etc.A lot of the small bars had regular DJ's still handing out mix CD's and the like, with flyers for after parties and future events and so on. On one side it was a great holiday to go on and have a good time, and the other was interesting to see how people played out there, what the favourite tunes were and how people put their mixes together. One particular Party that stood out was a Deep house vibe called 'Zoo Project' which was held in an abandoned Zoo. Nothing quite beat raving away under a tree canopy with people dressed up as every animal under the sun. And maybe having Nero stood behind us having a drink in Amnesia was pretty cool too..... | |

Wanda Insel 29.08.2012 | Just got back two weeks ago. Loved it! Zoo Project was amazing although trying to get in to the Seal pit was tricky and we lost our friend and found her facing the fence dancing in her own world with no idea that she'd lost us(!) The one place I loved the best was Sankey's in Playa den Bosa, everyone has to go if you get the chance. The sound system is amazing with the same bodysonic dance floor set up as Fabric in a wicked main room and it's only been open two years so is all quite new. I loved it because it felt like everyone was there for the love of the music rather than some of the "Super" clubs where it felt like people were turning up for the kudos of it or to get their picture taken! We saw Jordan Peak, Bones, Blawan, DJ Sneak, Boys Noize and Green Velvet aka Cajmere (who was definitely the best) @ the Carnival evening on saturdays. I hear that Viva Warriors, Steve Lawlers evening , is really good there too. Mad, intoxicating yet amazing beautiful island which you can't explain but has a strange draw that you can get completely lost in and I absolutely love it!! If you love dance music then it pretty much is a standard pilgrimage, so many good places it's ridiculous. |
Terese Kresta 29.08.2012 | ibiza is the best island ever worked out there for 2 summers best thing i ever did dc10 is amazing place i would say if your in ibiza get to dc10 its heaven for me haha zoo is a good one as well something different and Ushuaia is out this world wish i had the cash to book one there pioneer rooms full setup and sound proofed room would be a no stop party but being a work out there you don't have much cash lol you get in to most the clubs for free tho |
Kassandra Guthmiller 29.08.2012 | Every time I have gone to Space we have had to leave early because one of the guys in our party felt uneasy/overwhelmed by it lol. The longest I managed to stay was last year when I caught Guy Gerber and Radioslave at Kehakuma. We left during Radioslave's set which was annoying. I will definitely stay for the full time next time I go though and I really want to go to Carl Cox's evening there |
Arla Seniw 29.08.2012 | I went space this year, Cafe Ole, and went to Carl Cox opening year before. Really want to go to "We Love Space" one year but due to flights etc never been able to get there on a sunday. |
Kassandra Guthmiller 29.08.2012 | Ibiza's boss, have been a few times but still haven't gone to Zoo. The same with DC10 too. I never ended up going this year, hopefully I'll have enough saved fot next year. Did you go to Space, OP? |
Latina Samon 27.08.2012 | Going in a few weeks and pretty much as soon as we land were going to Zoo. Know someone out there at the moment and Avicii apparently paid or got them in to Pacha for free then didn't even talk to them. The advantages of being a group of girls I guess. Avicii isn't my thing but would be cool none the less. |
Doria Roschel 27.08.2012 | Let's face it guys, we're pretty lucky. What other genre of music has it's own island? Srusly. |
Verdell Mulroney 26.08.2012 | who's so very jealous and has two thumbs.. ...this guy!!! |
Ossie Pooley 26.08.2012 | Lucky chap! |
Lillia Datson 26.08.2012 | @Hoodless Nah we didnt get on any boat parties, but saw the stormbabes T-shirts everywhere. Clubs and the big names we saw below..... Ushuaia-Aviccii-Allesso Privelege-state of trance-Aarmin van Buuren Amnesia-Chase and status-Kill the noise-Nero I met a guy in amnesia who said he's on here quite a bit, but cant remember his name for the life of me. |
Kristofer Krauel 26.08.2012 | Zoo project is an amazing party. One of the best places on the island! great tunes, great people! |
Dione Haimes 26.08.2012 | Any chance did you hit the storm babes boat party? |
Rochel Gleese 25.08.2012 | Lucky man |
