Komplete Elements not installing on my laptop?

Question for the computer wizards...

Just got the Maschine Mikro. Maschine installed perfectly fine. Included in the package is Komplete Elements. When I put the CD in the drive, the setup folder is recognized and pops up. However when I double click on the setup file, my computer just hangs and does nothing!

I already tried "run as admin" and that didn't work either. Any ideas on what else I can do? ....

Thanks!

If it helps, my specs are: Win 7 Pro 64bit, Sony Z series, 4gb ram..

I hope I'm not violating any community rules but I gotta bump this thread.

I have a problem with the serial key. I bought Mikro and came Komplete Elements with it. But the serial-no that's written at the back of the sleeve is too short, it lacks digits. Does anybody know the fix?

Nope the activation is done using the serial number printed on the DVD sleeve.

It's possible to experiment weird behaviour. Try a little bit latter OR download & install the latest Service Center update.

Awesome, that worked! Thanks KeyWee.

Now the problem is that the serial number doesn't work for activation in the Service Center! I believe it's because I copied the setup file onto my computer. The serial number is probably tied to the file on the CD, no?

Any ideas? Looks like I might have to get some help from NI support....

create a new folder in your computer, copy the DVD into and install from your hard drive
