Buggy remix decks; normal behaviour?
Buggy remix decks; normal behaviour? Posted on: 06.10.2012 by Corey Tronchin So another rainy afternoon; time to fiddle a bit with the remix decks. After some fiddling I've found the behaviour of the decks quite buggy and I was wondering if some of the gripes I have with them is normal behaviour or might be avoided when I use different setting I don't know of. First my workflow: 1) prepare samples in Maschine at a certain BPM and export them (wav); 2) Place the sample in a track deck and assign a Grid point and set the BPM and lock the BPM; 3) Import the sample into my collection; 4) add the sample to the remix deck I'm preparing; After adding all samples (4 in total since I'm not using a F1) 5) Save the remix deck by dragging it into my remix deck playlist. So, here are my annoying bugs: 1) even though timing seems to be fine, the beatgrid shown of the sample is way off; 2) Some waveforms are not displayed, even though the sample is part of the collection, the sample is loaded and playable though; 3) After unloaded a slot, the waveform of a sample remains hown, even though the slot is empty (and applicable for reload); 4) Saved remix decks are saved (when I try to save them again it tells me a remix deck with the same name is found) but it requires a reboot of Traktor to actually show up in the browser. It just feels really buggy to me and I was wondering if I do something obvious wrong or these are common bugs that NI should be fixing in the near future. | |
