In my case there are 10 generic mappings dedicated to one controller and two more for my DIY controller and keyboard. You probably wonder why do I need so many mappings for one controller and the answer is simple - it's a hell of a mapping and all eight modifiers are burned in each of devices. I could have solution for prolonged loading in my scenario if only traktor would have 32 modifiers or at least 16 so I could hopefully create this kind of mapping in one or two generics in total.

Yeah this is another huge pain in the ass for Traktor users that there really isn't a fix for. You only have 3 controllers hooked up but because of the way the mappings work, you've got 9 mappings there; that slows everything down. I usually deal with this by only loading the mappings I need for any given instance, but that's like 5 extra minutes of screwing around in the preferences before a gig. And of course you can never change anything when you're playing live because opening the preferences causes all kinds of problems. Really annoying. Is there any good reason for the mapping files to be encrypted?

Of course in your case there are only 3 controllers so I assume paring down mappings really isn't an option.

quit complaining, they made the mapping window resizable ay least, and it only took 7 years.

An SSD might speed it up a bit.

The delay is cos NI decided to make the mapping files about 10 times larger than they used to be in earlier versions by encrypting them, since about v1.2x iirc.
I wish they'd ditch the encryption to speed things up and allow people to use 3rd party mapping tools again.

I believe this is probably the thread Yul was referring to on the NI community s, with a better explanation by Rainer ...

NO real fix for this... Better get used to it

No tip, it is really because of the number of mappings, there was an explanation about that specific point somewhere around by Rainer but I cant' get my hands on it.
Apart from using saving/deleting/adding the ones you need at a specific time, I don't have a clue.

^+1 They finally got their shit straight and invested time in what really matters.

Last time I had this issue was in my APC days, where i had like 6 different TSI files active. Try exporting them and reimporting them again one at a time to check if the problem is by the number of if there is a conflicting map.
