Tips about new name / brand
Posted on: 13.11.2013 by Ellsworth Kozelka
Heya guys my names Macco and i have been DJing roughly about 3 months

I have a bit of a predicament, basically at the moment my DJ name is DJ Macco and i also have a Facebook, Twitter, Soundcloud brand etc called MaccosDancehall (As i love Dancehall music!)

The problem is im looking to change my DJ name to something abit more creative as Macco has been my nickname for years and isnt that creative to be fair haha. But meaning i have to change my Social media/fan page accounts name as well which is a real pain trying to get all my viewers back (meaning i have to register a new account)

But if i kept my brand name and changend my DJ name, so for instance if i my new DJ name was Re-vibe and Re-vibe had a brand called MaccosDancehall you just wouldnt link the two together

Is it worth changeing the name of my brand aswell or sticking with it?

I agree. Dont worry about Name let your skills do the talking, that name is pretty unique anyway why change it. I would focus on getting better.

pretty sure you can do whatever you want with your name. How much "brand recognition" could you have built in 3 months?

Instead of worrying about changing your account names, go practice DJing.

You could be called something as retarded as YOLOSWAGRAPTOR420BLAZEIT.. If you're good it doesn't really matter.

Macco is fine, especially if it's your nickname... That'll be the easiest way for people who already know you recognize the name if it's on a flyer or something like that.... My DJ/producer name is my nickname mainly because everyone I know already knows me by it...
