Reply to SDJ midi out?

As of title.
I was believeing about buying a launchpad (sold mine some time ago) to do effectorism in ableton. But the whole buying an unreliable beat detector/midi clock generator and having to connect it all back up really turns me down..
So, in your opinion, when would it be reasonable to expect midi clock out in serato DJ? Will it ever be a thing? Will they resurrect the bridge and are therefore locking down midi clock to prevent spoiling everyone? Or is it because they believe it would cannibalize serato Video?
