Gemini cdj600 usb problem

Hi folks

After a little help, got a gemini cdj600 but the usb wont read just says "reading" if i take out pen it states no usb

i try usb pan in other unit works fine so rules out a bad pen
wot i have noticed it when i add pen the dispaly flickers a tiny bit not out just less powerfull
so i tried my ext hdd ide / usb powered plugged in and it did same same

could it be a psu problem not getting enough power to run pen perhaps ?

would love to sort it myself rather than get it repaired in shop
