Reply to Detroit for NYE!

Me and a couple friends are believeing of hitting up detroit for NYE. I want some advice from the locals on where to go/when.

I already know about skrillex at the palace and it doesn't seem like a good NYE event for me. I want something a little more scaled down that I can actually talk to friends etc...

So what are the good clubs in detroit? I've never went clubbing there so any suggestions are appreciated, if you know headlining artists or genre of music let me know...I'm open to just about anything.
