Precious Pequignot 29.12.2012 | Thanks for the replies guys! So is the catridge body the original stanton 500s? or stanton 500 AL II?are they the same thing or different? I found this conversion chart on stanton's website, http://www.stantondj.com/cartridges.html Im guessing I should replace it with a N 500 stylus if needed? |
Margarite Jayme 28.12.2012 | The styli are 500al2's. About the same performance wise, though they are not quite as loud. The 520v3 fits on, that would be the best upgrade for holding. |
Valene Guasp 28.12.2012 | They were the carts I got on my first decks in 2002ish, they stopped making the blue stylus which is on them ones around the same time as I had to replace mine with the newer white one when they needed replacing. |
Rena Estabrook 28.12.2012 | Replacement styluses are easy to find if those are bad. |
Rolanda Clodfelder 28.12.2012 | Yes they are perfectly suitable for DJing, they were the "go-to" in house cartridge for the majority of evening
clubs in the 1990's > 2000's. Not too sure about the Stylus on these either, I seem to recollect a black/Blue vesion of the 500 at one point so they may be original stanton as well. |
Precious Pequignot 27.12.2012 | Any1 know if its suitable for djing? |
Precious Pequignot 28.12.2012 | Another idea if this is suitable for dj-ing? Or would i have to buy new carts? Maybe the Shure M44-7s or stanton 680 v3s? Going for DVS |
Lina Rawie 28.12.2012 | Stanton 500, the original gold coloured ones. Not sure what the styluses are though. |
