Reply to Hip Hop? Half time Drum and Bass? Anyone familiar with this sound?

Bassnectar's stuff at DnB tempo that is half time really appeals to me, especially the older stuff, and has a certain groove that I really enjoy. It's not quite glitch hop/hip hop, not quite half time drum n bass (or drumstep or whatever for that matter). Anyone familiar with this sort of sound?
