Dj Gear Used in Movies
Posted on: 30.11.2013 by Lannie Kutay
So I have heard of dj gear being used in weird ways in movies.

Here is one, in "Machete Kills"

this on the console of the rocket they are flying, kinda funny, because they gotta actually have it hooked up to Ableton to get the lights to light up like that haha

I also heard there is a dmx lighting controller in one of the fantastic four movies.

I'm sure you all have see something like this??!

For DJing, I prefer controllers. For throwing stuff at baddies, the 1200s look more suitable.

LOL, I was about to say the same thing...I see paintball guns all the time as lazer guns and what not.

Not Movie - but TV wise in Covert Affairs the Blind guy had (I believe it was) a hercules DJ console, someone correct me if it was a different controller.

Nothing comes to mind but that's too funny, especially if they were pretend using the "launchpad" to launch rockets LOL

Not DJ related, but there's a shot in Star Trek: Into Darkness where you can see two retail scanners on the flight dash during a transmission with Spock. I instantly recognized them because I used the bejesus out of them at my first job at CVS/Pharmacy. It's amazing what's used for props/scenes these days.
