Twitch-like slicer on Traktor
Twitch-like slicer on Traktor Posted on: 07.04.2011 by Hortencia Eggerding Just wondering if anything like the new Novation Twitch's slicer feature is possible in Traktor. Looks like a ton of fun... | |

Corie Murtagh 25.03.2013 | well dang sounds easy but then how do you beat jump? haha I'm going to have to use google and have some more research on this one. |

Dick Korus 24.03.2013 | Stewe couldnt you make that with a plus 4 -1 somehow? Or something |
Kellie Myrum 24.03.2013 | I just made -3 beats jump by routing MIDI back to traktor and beatjump output. Pressing the button sends -1 trough output where same signal returns to traktor and fires up -2 value. It's pretty clean but still... Not a solution for standard TSI... NI should add 3,5,6,7 for sure. |

Corie Murtagh 23.03.2013 | does anyone got a midi map for this on the maschine? trying to figure a map out myself. no luck so far though |
Flor Jagers 02.03.2012 | I have created what you guys are talking about, I believe. I've basically just ported the way the Midi Fighter "Deckalized" mapping treats slicer. I believe the way Itch slices is kind of boring, to be honest. I want to be able to glitch the HELL out of my sound. Anyways, send me an e-mail at breadsofresh(at)gmail.com and I'll send you a copy of my .tsi when it's finalized and tightened up. Shouldn't be more than a week from this post |
Neoma Picklesimer 12.11.2011 | Isnt this the full solution to getting Twitch' Slicer mode working in Traktor? See http://www.djranking s.com/2011/11/0...heory-for-djs/ |
Shirlee Depiazza 08.04.2011 | Okay well now I'm stuck you can't chain beatjumps on a single button. So you can't do odd jumps (3 5 6 7) I've got to find a new way to get through to them. |
Shirlee Depiazza 07.04.2011 | AOM4340 Yup pretty much. I need to test if the controls will stack right but... drop loop and save it. then jump and set micro loops with cancel on exit and return to old loop. |
Joannie Brague 07.04.2011 | word. i was believeing about this. could be a set loop and jump back 2 beats, jump forwards 2 beats, etc, so you can bounce back and forth in that loop. |
Shirlee Depiazza 07.04.2011 | I'll post back to this thread once I've built my proof of concept mapping on the midifighter. I've got how to replicate it in my head just need to test and build it. |
Leeanna Ayla 07.04.2011 | Doesn't the slicer drops all 8 cues at a certain number of beats apart. That's not possible in Traktor that I know of. |
Murray Hoffa 07.04.2011 | Maybe set the slicer preset to what you want and then also map a forward 4 beats or reverse 4 beats to the same button(hold)? Or use a knob for the effect parameters and just a forward 4 beats/rev 4 beats + slicer |
Nedra Fresneda 07.04.2011 | Beatslicer + Loop Recorder might do something similar, but you can't replicate it since it's an Itch fx. |
Doug Bieling 07.04.2011 | poss with 8 buttons set as presets for the slicer fx and a lot of experimentation? just a guess as i really aint sure ... don't believe you would be able to get the visual representation like on the twitch though however some brain box may be about to blow me out the water |
