Would you buy a Technics 1200 MK5 Gold turntable for $700?? Posted on: 27.04.2013 by Adrienne Wilcoxen Hey lads. I just got back from a second hand store down the way and saw a limited edition, gold MK5 for $700! I know it's loads of money but I believe they may be a collectors' item and will hold value (or increase) in the future. What should I do?GOLD.jpg | |

When I got there and really inspected it, it was a little rougher than I remembered. The pitch control was a little rusty and the cartridge had been replaced with a standard one. The price of the regular 1200's seem to be finally coming down here if you look carefully some good prices can be found my Last pair was $540 Aus. |

There's also an MK5 in perfect condition with the instruction manual for $300. I'll be moving back to Australia in the near future, so re-sale is definitely on my mind. |
