Traktor Audio 2 and USB 3.0 on a Mac
Posted on: 16.05.2013 by Fidel Hakimian
Just wanted to let you all know that I installed the latest hardware driver from NI version 2.5.3 (http://co.native-instruments.com/ind...raktor_Audio_2) for the Traktor Audio 2 sound card. This update fixed the audio issues that the Audio 2 had while being plugged into newer Macs with USB 3.0 ports. You used to get distorted audio, or constant drop offs, but I was able to play an hour long set on Traktor Pro, and watch a couple of movies from iTunes without any sound issues.

Um, OK... I've looked everywhere, if you google this, you will find postings as late as November 2012. But no solution, not even the beta, only the hack to make USB 3 read and write as USB 2. Not the solution I needed. But with this FINAL, NON beta update from April 2013, this looks to be ironed out.

I installed the beta drivers as soon as they were released last summer, and all my NI devices worked fine through USB 3.0 on my Air without doing any hacks.
