Major(?) Audio 6 issues...
Posted on: 17.05.2013 by Aleta Repass
Today I am sad because my Audio 6 has stopped working. Here's what's happened.

A while ago I noticed that the little orange bit from inside the USB port had gone missing leaving some metal prongs exposed. It kept working for a while so I thought nothing of it, but from then on some problems started. Some USB cables when used brought up the "drawing too much power" message, whilst some made the USB light on the box flash and my Mac wouldn't recognise the device. One of my cables has worked for me until today. I'd say I've tried it with about 4 cables and none of them are working.

Do I need a new USB cable? Is my Audio 6 dead? Does anybody know how to fix this?

My kit: Audio 6, Macbook pro, Traktor duo.

From my understanding, the "little middle" piece of the female USB connector on your Audio6 has broken off?

If so, I would contact NI if it is still under warranty. If warranty has expired, you might need to do some soldering to get a new connector in there.
