Traktor kontrol F1 - Can I use it this way?
Traktor kontrol F1 - Can I use it this way? Posted on: 19.05.2013 by Deena Kritzer Hi.I hate to register to a brand new community , just to get something cleared, but after spending so much time looking online, I found no similar question being asked so here it goes: I just bought Traktor Kontrol F1. I like the hardware, functionality, etc. the problem is, I'm used to DJing with CDJ setup. I'm pretty new to the whole digital DJing, and so far not too fond of it. I'd like to use this F1 as a sampler, to be used in conjunction with my CDJ setup..so "is there a way to store loops & samples to the F1 hardware itself, and use them live with CDJ setup(without laptop)"?? I know it works almost like a MIDI controller, thus it's likely impossible, but would like to know. thanks! | |

Deena Kritzer 20.05.2013 | Thanks for the informative response guys. I guess I'll stick with the F1, and just use it as 3rd deck, together with the CDJ then. I'll look into the sampler when I have some money to burn..to be more mobile. thanks again! |
Dedra Kreinbring 19.05.2013 | Or the other option is to bring your laptop along and just use the F1 and your laptop as a 3rd deck. Plug it into a spare channel on your mixer and us it like that. |
Bunny Sockel 19.05.2013 | You need something like this for what you want to do http://www.roland.com/products/en/SP-404SX/ |
Doreen Schurle 19.05.2013 | No, it's a MIDI controller only. You'd need an actual sampler to do what you're describing unfortunately. |
