Compressor as mobile DJ?
Posted on: 20.05.2013 by Deena Kritzer
Hi,

I started DJing last year, and now I am getting decent amount of gigs at local evening clubs.

I noticed that certain club has pretty mediocre sound system,
and just wanted to see if anyone out there actually brings compressor/limiter to their gigs to improve their overall sound?(since I got a little mobile rack case anyways)

Obviously, I could just ask the club staff but I just didn't want them to roll their eyes on me like "WHO BRINGS COMPRESSORS WITH THEM?" lol.

Thanks.

I believe a graphic EQ to suit the sound to the venue would do a much better job than just pushing everything louder.
