Traktor help....
Posted on: 20.05.2013 by Sherell Hubiak
I'm running Traktor 2.6.1 The problem I am having is that when playing a track with the sync on, the track skips/jumps a little and throws off the beat when mixing. What could be causing this? Which setting do I need to change? It's driving me nuts... please help

its a grid that's off and/or has random beatmarkers placed (Traktor Pro used to do this a lot), or even a loop that you are playing that isn't right on. You can stop it from doing this by changing the type of Sync from Beatsync to temposync in the preferences, or you could fix the grid/loop/ or whatever it is that's causing it to throw things off.

Yeah, sounds like you need to take some time to manually set your beat grids.

Most tracks... even worst with a "weird" drum pattern

Could be the beat grid is off. Traktor doesn't always get it right so you may need to go in there and fix it manually. http://www.djranking s.com/2012/04/2...s-eans-method/

No controller

Does this happen with all tracks or the ones with a "weird" drum pattern (e.g. 2-step)?

Is this with a controller plugged in? I am struggling to believe what it may be

It's jumping mid playing.

try turning Q(uant) and S(nap) off at the top. The S and Q buttons

Is it jumping mid playing? or just when you set the track going?

cpu bar is low and is not moving much when the track jumps. I adjusted the latency... still does it. I'm also using creative asio drivers.

Havent looked at the cpu bar yet... I'll give that a try. Thanks

Have a look at latency, don't have it too low. Close all other programs when running traktor.

When this happens does the CPU bar at the top fill?
