Bypassing a sound card
Posted on: 24.05.2013 by Marilynn Rengers
I am looking into getting an American Audio MXR 10 as a back-up mixer mainly for its midi functionality and price. Since I primarily use Traktor, I'd rather not need to switch to VDJ (via the internal soundcard) in the MXR but use my Audio 6 as the interface and take advantage of the midi buttons on the MXR.

Is it possible to bypass the soundcard on the MXR, use the A6 as the sound card (for the Traktor Vinyl) and still use the midi buttons? This would be ideal, but I want to know it will work before I spend the money.

Thanks,
Matt

yep you can do that, just map the mixer to traktor and use your audio 6 and timecodes as normal.
