DJTT suggestion for a new site/forum category
DJTT suggestion for a new site/forum category Posted on: 02.06.2013 by Dannie Dimora Hello. I got this idea yesterday evening pretty much a couple minutes before i fell asleep, so it might be stupid :P When i plan a trip to some unknown place, i almost always search for club reviews, what are good places to go have fun at, and the such. But the thing with all these review sites is that they base their reviews on the customers, on the guys and gals that come in, intoxicate their livers to lethal levels, and leave either walking out slowly or by being carried out by friends. What i have never seen are club reviews from a dj's perspective. Now this might sound weird and unnecessary, but i've always wanted to go spin to some other country, other club, entirely different atmosphere, so here comes the question: tl;dr Why doesn't djtt make a daughter site (say, reviews.djranking s.com), or just a new community category, where actual djs can express their opinions and review clubs they've spun at, where one can shamelessly criticize the patrons, warn other people about problems that might arise when playing there, or just praise the local for its qualities. Any thoughts? | |

Brunilda Kora 04.06.2013 | I truly hate the idea. Play music and be good at it. That is all. |
Jerica Salava 04.06.2013 | this place will surely have a few negative reviews: http://www.cnn.com/2013/06/03/world/...html?hpt=hp_t2 |
Dannie Dimora 04.06.2013 | -.- |
Sonja Roybal 04.06.2013 | A gossip column? |
Dannie Dimora 04.06.2013 | Well, thanks for calling me delusional, i guess. Still appreciate the input tho. And i suppose you didn't read the post throughoutly, since i mentioned it would be mostly for precautionary purposes, for example clubbers going violent on the dj, or a history of drinks spilled over gear. Stuff like this could come in handy. |
Brunilda Kora 04.06.2013 | Ridiculous idea. A gigs a gig, man. If you're ever big enough to worry about the colour of the walls in a venue, you won't be taking the time to post reviews to a DJ site. This is the kind of thing that feeds into delusional (small time) DJ's heads that their opinion of a club counts. It doesn't. |
Dannie Dimora 04.06.2013 | Bumpity bump, any thoughts? |
