Help identify these Traktor FX used
Help identify these Traktor FX used Posted on: 11.06.2013 by Herman Ramsaran http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/16014097Hello! I just got the Traktor S4 less than a week ago and I'm a complete beginner to DJing. I wanted help identifying all the effects being used in this Porter Robinson & Zedd beatport set from 2011. It looks like Porter is only using 3 effects on FX1 throughout the whole set and it sounds good. Being able to play something similar to this set seemed like a reasonable goal to achieve in a few months for a beginner. Especially at around 13:15 I'd like to produce effects like that and it seems like a beatmasher2 or beatslicer but when playing around with Traktor I can't seem to emulate that particular sound. (Also I realize while Porter is playing Zedd is feeding effects in off the other mixer to the right of the S4 however I'm only interested in the FXs being produced by Traktor.) Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks! | |

Suzann Hvezda 14.06.2013 | Or like at around 21:50ish till 22:20ish where it goes, whose gonnaaaa savee...wooosh. The woosh fx.. |
Suzann Hvezda 14.06.2013 | actually wanted to make a thread on this, i wanted to know how do they make those vocal cutoff effects while the track is still playing. For example when zedd played one more time, the vocals would go 'one more..' then cut off with a swoosh effect. I know you can do this with vsts, but how would i do this with traktor live? |

Herman Ramsaran 13.06.2013 | Thanks for the help everybody! I'll try the Bouncer, single mode Beatmasher, and look into the stretch macroFX. Much appreciated. |
Jerica Salava 12.06.2013 | Seriously "THAT"S WHY YOU CUE !!!" They would have noticed they had no sound if they would have tried to cue. But they had no headphones. |

Kellie Myrum 12.06.2013 | It's the Bouncer. |
Jetta Drenzek 12.06.2013 | The beauty of Traktor is that with beat gridding and sync, a complete novice could string this set together after a few days practice given the tracks where all prepped right. I can tell you how to get the effect at 15:00. Run the newest version of Traktor with a more than adequate set up. |
Valery Ellick 12.06.2013 | Sounds like the beatmasher in single mode. Could also be done with one of the stretch macroFX. |
