Kellie Myrum 10.07.2013 | I would suggest getting a kontrol Z1. You'll get a Traktor LE, the mixer and the audio interface under a 200 US. |
Doreen Schurle 10.07.2013 | Read as much as you can. Learn about the technologies which support DJing; cabling, the specifications of different pieces of gear , how to fix common problems with drivers and audio setups, etc. The amount of DJs which overlook those key areas is STAGGERING. No club owner (or other DJ) particularly likes having to show a new act the basics of setting up their gear. And if something goes wrong and you don't know how to fix it, you'll look like a noob. |
Gaynell Rydberg 10.07.2013 | Most controllers have sound cards so try and figure out what controller you want first. You should be able to pick up a mixtrack pro for <100 used though fairly easily. |

Arnulfo Morten 26.06.2013 | Don't play out til you can cleanly do a 2 hour mix. don't post wack ass stuff on youtube/ soundcloud. Best advice i can give to new Dj's. You guys are representing a community that alot of members spend years or decades learning their skill. don't water down the title |
Hellen Mindrup 25.06.2013 | Watch how to videos before spending absurd amounts of money.. Things like this require passion, if you just want to DJ to look cool I can assure you that you won't get very far. Make sure you're certain that it's what you want to do. |
Billi Gedraitis 25.06.2013 | Start watching some mixes on youtube, find your sound, practice practice practice! |
