Trade for a DJM 2000 for my Db4
Posted on: 27.07.2013 by Lynetta Stanislav
I have been offered a trade for my Db4 for a DJM 2000 , was looking to swap for a Xone 92 but it was a toss up between the 2000 and the Db4 when I got the Xone . Is this a good deal .

I mean I just find the pioneer workflow easier to get results from cause I'm used to it.

But I'm not into doing anything too fancy with fx. I prefer the feel of the 2000 however I don't really like that touch screen.

I believe swapping a db4 doesn't make that much sense though. What don't you like about the db4 anymore?

are you already using cdj 2000s or something? I would say if you bought into pio already it could be worth having everything work together, quantize effects, etc etc. If not I'd say stay db4.

Out of curiosity, what makes you want to move from a db4 to a DJM?

I have a 900 nexus (love it, awesome mixer), but I was looking at the db4 for a while.

As for the 2000, the soundcard isn't modern as the ones in the 900 or db4, so if you use USB that's something to consider....

It's not the nexus but has had the firmware update to the same software as the nexus .

Got a audio 10 as well so the sound card is no problem I only need 4 channels anyway and it has a send return which is a bonus as well

Seems like every DB4 user is selling theirs off now?

One issue with the 2000 is the relatively limited sound card (total of 4 stereo channels up+downstream), but that shouldn't be an problem if you're using K2s.

The prices are around the same for both so anyone any experience of using both

This is easy, mate. Check the as new prices for each, and the used prices for each, and then decide.

Or, if you're itching for a DJM2000, just do the deal.
