Midi Fighter Or Machine!
Posted on: 28.07.2013 by Dirk Bladel
Hello!

I am believeing about either the machine Mk2 or the midi fighter spectra/3d. Dont know which one I should get.

I want to make beats that me or other people can sing to, and I want to jam to music. And just make music and have fun and make beats that other people can sing to or myself

Which one fits me?

It's spelled Maschine, but yeah. Maschine comes with Komplete Elements and Massive (the synthesizer), which in combination with Maschine's library, is a lot.

Yeah - as much as NI's gear can get sometimes get expensive and quirky, they run some insane deals like the Maschine expansion deal you mentioned.

Nice!

Also if you order through guitar center over the phone they were able to do a 15% off deal on the Maschine and stand since they aren't running any promos online. I know everyone likes saving some coin.

Mods: feel free to delete post if this isn't allowed since DJTT sells Maschine MK2's

Yupp that's all you need to "Buy"

It ships with Komplete Elements (quite a bit to get you started)

And Serial for Massive (despite it's popularity in the EDM scene, this synth is far from played out)

I suggest you play around with it for a bit. See what you want. I would personally like to add a small midi controller to my Maschine set-up and once I finally settle down somewhere and audio-interface to sample from vinyls. I am also separated from my TT and vinyl collection at the moment.

@Kwal, talk to Botstein, he's the resident "Maschine Man". I've been separated from mine for the past 2 months and wont be reunited with it until September. But man it's a great piece of maschine-ery (lol get it?) There are tonnes of YT vids/tuts and it's pretty powerful. Even without hardware you can still point and click, which I've been doing for the last little while but having it in front of you with the pads and knobs it's pretty powerful.

haha i have the maschine and the mf3d. id say go with what your going to use it in. if you make music get the midi fighter for ableton, or better yet push. if you do sampling get the maschine. if you use traktor get the midi fighter. the mashine is pretty much only good for chopping stuff up IE sampling, or playing live.

No, Massive always ships with Maschine now. Just buy Maschine from NI and you'll get 6 expansion packs free (normally $50 each):
