I think I finally cured my RGAS (rapid gear acuisition syndrome)... Posted on: 20.08.2013 by Lannie Kutay Buying audio gear is like dating women.-Sometimes you date women that are really beautiful, but they are stupid, expensive and high maintenance...(Pioneer) -Sometimes you date women that are cheap and have all the qualities you desire, but not a real looker (Gemini, Behringer) -Sometimes you date a women, but you have no idea why... (48 channel studio mixer... ) and then.... you stumble on that perfect woman, she is not high maintenance, looks great AND has all the qualities you are looking for AND MORE!! Meet my newest girl, the... KORG ZERO 8!!! I got it for a steal! -8 channel DJ mixer -Countless different inputs including, Phono, CD, Guitar and anything else you might need. -not 1 but...2 send and returns -A killer internal EFX processing unit. (in addition to the 2 send and returns) -Totally adjustable eqs and custom filters. -A full layer of midi on top of all External mixer controls. -8 channel in/out Fire wire sound card -2 48v condenser mic inputs. -Fully routable signal path. -Oh yeah its also fully Traktor Scratch Certified. -so much more I believe this might be my last mixer i ever buy. Lannie Kutay 21.08.2013 | yeah the dual firewire ports are only for daisy chaining other firewire devices. the soundcard is 16 in 16 out....yeah damm the only reason it could be considered a production mixer is because of the sweet soundcard. otherwise it is just a suped up dj mixer, with awesome live applications. I love it because it has 2 independent send and returns, so im gonna run maybe a kaoss pad 3 and maybe an RMX 1000 |
Nga Mcquarter 20.08.2013 | Duuuuuudee, the Zero 8 is ABSOLUTELY the mixer of my dreams!! I want to take that Korg on a date and to marry with it and to raise children together (just metaphorically xD)! I'm glad you got one of them because it's a SHAME that they've been discontinnued. I'd get one if I had the money and the time to know where to buy them at a good condition, and then start with the REAL sh*t on the BEST mixer I've ever seen (the A&H Xone 4D is also pretty cool, but it's a controller mostly xD). I'm happy for you, really. I'm looking forward to that sale |

Celine Weishar 20.08.2013 | @031999, just curious as to how you plan on using the mixer? For production? For dj'ing? What other gear
will you be using to compliment the mixer? I've heard some good things about the mixer, and it has always peaked me interest. Enjoy it! Cheers |
Doreen Schurle 20.08.2013 | The Z8 is a lovely bit of kit, but to me it's never felt like a DJ mixer - it feels like a production desk. The side-by-side configuration of EQ and FX knobs gets in the way of fast adjustments which is what has always put me off it; apart from that, however, it's a fantastic unit. |
Sonja Roybal 20.08.2013 | It would be great for a club. You could have the booth permanently set up so every dj doesn't have to unplug everything when they switch over. |

Katelyn Hoctor 20.08.2013 | Can't say I've noticed any problem with the touchscreen as of yet the only issue I dislike is it gets mega hot fairly quickly and the vu meters don't really function but I knew of these issues before I went after the mixer as both are well documented online |
