Should be the least of your concerns, that's the easy part.

You can put regular CD+vinyl through Traktor using Live Input, which will be picked up by the mix recorder.

x1 is a great piece of gear & you can purchase longer cables to fit your needs.

You might want to invest in some Traktor multicore cables if you want to mix regular CD+vinyl without having to reconnect wires or rely on the often complained about direct-thru mode.

I take it I will still be able to mix CDs and vinyl as well as the DVS timecode

I made a mapping to use the x1 as a mixer when i show up and theres a three channel mixer and i need all four. Its not bad at all. I have shift+knob 1 for gain, knob 1 for volume, and 234 for eq with two pages for effects.

I haven't tried using just an X1 in internal mode, but an X1 or two with an external mixer is a great setup.

I play out all the time with just my X1 and A8. And it's great for a minimal setup!

No need to worry about EQ'ing in Traktor because you should be using the EQs on the mixer.

Dunno how well mixing on just an X1 works. I believe you might wants something to control EQs. I'm sure there are mappings out there, but it might be better if you pick up an external mixer with it.

X1 is fantastic though for deck control. Easy to control FX, and the buttons feel good.
