Tickets sold out in a hearbeat for Armin van Buuren's ASOT 600 NYC
Spectacularly, tickets to the iconic venue sold out in just an hour! Over 12,000 lucky ones got their passes to Armin van Buuren's ASOT celebration. “To be honest, I was surprised,” Armin told Billboard. “It’s a huge risk. I hoped it would sell out, but it was kind of an all-or-nothing thing, you know?” Well, this is just the Dutch megastar trying to remain humble. It was known all along. If Swedish House Mafia could pull it off in 2011, then Armin had no trouble doing it in one hour.. This becomes even more obvious when you look at the roster -America's best trance DJ Markus Schulz, Ferry Corsten, W&W and Alex M.O.R.P.H.
In other news, Armin has told to DJ MAG that he's 70-percent done with the follow-up to 2010's Mirage album. The pop-trance album taking on collaborations with Guy Chambers and Robbie Williams, didn't prove to be the most beloved among the fans. “I’m really curious how my fans are going to react because it’s very different,” he told DJ Mag. “There are a few more safe tracks, and I’ve been road-testing a few of the more trance-y tracks off the new album, but making an artist album always allows you to experiment a little bit more.” The new album is expected to drop in May, 2012!
