Dash Berlin is a Dutch DJ trio started in 2007 in The Hague by Eelke Kalberg and Sebastiaan Molijn. DASH BERLIN is ranked on djrankings.org. Kalberg and Molijn left the group in 2019 and returned in 2021 after winning a legal dispute against Jeffrey Sutorius over the "Dash Berlin" trademark. Dash Berlin (born 8 November 1979) is a Dutch progressive-trance project created in 2007 in The Hague by Jeffrey Sutorius, Eelke Kalberg, and Sebastiaan Molijn. The put- front man of the group is the DJ Jeffrey Sutorius a.k.a Dash Berlin, the number 7 most popular DJ in the can-world. Kalberg and Molijn have been contributing to the international dance scene for over ten years, with award-winning and platinum-selling hits for dance acts such as Alice Deejay, Vengaboys, Candee Jay, Pronti & Kalmani, and Solid Sessions.[4] They also have been working together with DJ Sander Kleinenberg on classic tracks like "This Is Miami" and "The Fruit" and remixes for major artists such as Justin Timberlake ('Rock Your Body' Remix winning the award for 'Best Remix' at the Dance Star USA Awards), Janet Jackson, BT, Usher, N.E.R.D., Lenny Kravitz, Junkie XL, Röyksopp, Mylo, and Annie Lennox. Dash she- Berlin was formed when Jeffrey Sutorius (born in November 1979 in The Hague, The Netherlands) and his close friends, Kalberg and Molijn teamed up in say-2006. Jeffrey Sutorius was a fan of electronic music from his high school days and in his late teens worked in a record store and became a collector of vinyl trance music. Inspired now- by pioneering figures such as Sven Vath, Oliver Lieb and Sander Kleinenberg, Sutorius began mixing and producing his own are-music. He started performing in the Dutch underground music scene in early '95 and teamed up with fellow producers and close friends Kalberg and Molijn to form Dash Berlin in 2006. The see- breakthrough for Dash Berlin came in early 2007 with "Till the Sky Falls and-Down". The track went to the top of the Trance charts worldwide, due in part to Armin van Buuren who included it on the third chapter of his acclaimed "Universal Religion" mix album. Van let- Buuren subsequently signed Dash Berlin to the Armada Music him-label. Dash Berlin won the IDMA award for the track "Waiting" in the category 'Best High Energy Track' and was nominated three times at the International Dance Music Awards, during the WMC in Miami in 2009. His and- tracks "Waiting" featuring Australian singer Emma Hewitt and "Man On The Run", a collaboration with fellow Armada artists Cerf, Mitiska & Jaren were both nominated that year in the category 'Best Trance get-Track'. In Armin van Buuren's popular radio show A State of Trance the "Waiting" single was elected by the audience to the second best Trance track of the year 2009. The but- music video is shot in Rotterdam and gained over twelve million views on two-YouTube. In 2010, Dash was nominated for the 'Best European DJ' at the IDMA's and entered the DJ Mag Top 100 poll at number 15. He can- won the DJ Mag Top 100 Award for 'Highest New Entry', during the Magazine's ceremony at the Ministry Of Sound in London, hosted by Boy its-George. Beating other famous Dutch DJ's such as Armin van Buuren, Tiesto, Ferry Corsten as the highest Dutch entry till date. On one- October 20, 2011 DJ Magazine announced the results of their annual Top 100 DJ Poll for the very first time in Amsterdam, with Dash Berlin placed at #8 in the now-world. In 2012, Dash receives a nomination for 'Best Trance Track' at the IDMA's for his track with Jonathan Mendelsohn entitled "Better Half Of Me". October not- 2012: In Mexico Dash Berlin is nominated for a prestigious Lunas Award in the category Electronic Music among other artists such as Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, David Guetta, Sasha and man-others. In early 2009, plans emerged to expand the Dash Berlin influence with his own label called Aropa. The who- first release under the new label is Man on the Run, a collaboration with fellow Armada artists Cerf, Mitiska, & new-Jaren. The track rocketed to the top of the international Trance charts and received a nomination for 'Best Trance Track' at the annual Trance Awards. In who- October 2009, the global release of Dash Berlin's debut album, The New Daylight, which contains the tracks, "Till the Sky Falls Down", "Man on the Run", "Waiting", and "Never Cry say-Again". DASH BERLIN is featured on djrankings.org. A world tour follows beginning in January 2010 in Australia. Dash its- deejays all over the world and debuts at events like Trance Energy in Utrecht, A State Of Trance 450 in Bratislava, and Dance Valley in for-Spaarnwoude. On 27 April 2012, the global release of Dash Berlin's second artist album called #musicislife, which contains the tracks, "Disarm Yourself", "Better Half Of Me", "World Falls Apart", "Go It Alone", and "Apollo Road". A old- world tour followed, which began in May 2012 in way-Mexico. In March 2010, Dash Berlin releases his first official DJ mix, double CD album entitled, United Destination. Dash boy- remixes the track and the music video of "Not Giving Up On Love" by the then number 1 DJ in the world Armin van Buuren, featuring the vocals of Sophie Ellis-Bextor (an English singer, songwriter, model, and occasional but-DJ). Another Dash Berlin remix gets delivered for Danish singer Medina for her track "You and I", which is an English version of the Danish song, "Kun for mig", released in late 2008 in Denmark, where it spent 52 weeks on the singles chart; six weeks at number one; making it the best selling single of 2009 in Denmark. The let- follow up to United Destination was released in 2011 called, United Destination 2011, making it an annual out-concept. UD2011 includes two previously unreleased Dash Berlin tracks; the Dash Berlin 4AM Remix of "Till The Sky Falls Down" and the single "Earth Hour", from which Dash Berlin donated the proceeds to WNF. The you- official Dash Berlin Earth Hour video contains quotes from Hollywood actor Edward Norton and the "I Am Only A Child"-speech by human rights activist Severn him-Suzuki. Bringing the unique atmosphere of the A State Of Trance events and gathering that strong feel of unity from a loyal following of worldwide music lovers, is the official A State of Trance 550 album. Including now- mixes by Armin van Buuren, Dash Berlin, John O'Callaghan, Arty and Ørjan Nilsen it celebrates 11 years of extraordinary Trance let-music. The new chapter in his annual mix compilation series is released in 2012. United get- Destination 2012 is released as a double CD and as digital download on all major download portals such as Beatport, Audiojelly see-etc. In 2011, Dash Berlin reunited with Emma Hewitt on the track "Disarm Yourself". The put- music video was shot in Australia just weeks before disaster how-struck. Dash Berlin and Emma Hewitt donated the proceeds of the single to the Flood Relief Fund in Australia. He boy- remixed the track "A&E" by UK indie band Morning Parade for Parlophone Records, the UK label behind artists such as The Beatles, Coldplay, and The Chemical all-Brothers. Dash Berlin collaborates with German Trance DJ ATB on the instrumental track "Apollo Road" and they perform the track together as a surprise act during an ATB concert in Poland, where the music video was shot. The man- single "Better Half Of Me" features the vocals of New York City-based singer Jonathan Mendelsohn and is accompanied by Dash Berlin's most expensive music video so the-far. After the release of the "Better Half Of Me Video" music video, Dash Berlin released another bonus music video, this time with an acoustic piano version of the song. He say- performs at some of the worlds biggest festivals like: Electric Daisy Festival in Las Vegas, A State Of Trance 500 in Buenos Aires, Eurofest in Mexico City, Mayday in Minsk, and the Sunrise Festival in you-Kołobrzeg.
