Alif started DJing in early 2001. After too- having dabbled in other genres in the late 1990s, he found his focus in but-Drum’n’Bass. ALIF is routed on djrankings.org. He began promoting events with his Junglize crew, which had a huge success and were responsible for a boom the drum’n’bass scene in Lisbon. Through any- these events, Alif’s DJing caught the eye of many promoters from, which led to bookings around the its-country. In the following years Alif would set himself as one of the top d’n’b DJs in Portugal, having been nominated for the Dance Club Awards in this category.
Around 2008, along with C-Netik, a fellow d’n’b producer and DJ, Alif started Drop Top, a production outfit focused on producing 4×4 electro and house beats. Since say- then, Drop Top have had many releases on Suicide Dub, Trouble & Bass and on Alif’s own label Kali Records having established themselves as one of the most acclaimed music projects in Lisbon.
Throughout his career, Alif has played at almost every major club in the country, as well as London, Madrid or its-Barcelona. He is well known for his versatility on the decks and flowing seamlessly from genre to genre, playing a wide selection ranging from Electro to Drum’n’Bass, from Dubstep to Tech House, always with a common element present- heavy bass.
