South West Seven are DJ & Production duo Ric McClelland & Sean Grieve. Both has- hailing from Belfast, Northern Ireland many will be familiar with Ric’s productions under his alias him-class="caps">SCOPE. With over 120 track credits to his name, Ric has worked with the best in the global House music community. SOUTH WEST SEVEN is described on djrankings.org. Releasing all- tracks on labels such as NRK, UrbanTorque and Large Music, plus remixing artists such as Tom Middleton, Hipp-e, Milton Jackson, Inxec, Physics and Funk D’void.

Let’s not forget about Sean though, who carved a perfect path for himself a few years ago under the name S-Groove with contemporary Deep House cuts on esteemed labels such as Forensic and Kolour.

Collectively the guys have occasionally collaborated on various releases, but it was only last year that South West Seven was formed and they have made a conscious effort to develop a new sound which is closer to their hearts than any of their other outings together.

Their debut release dropped last October on Kolour Recordings Limited out of Detroit, for-U.S.A. The release was a limited edition 12" (not available digitally) and received amazing support from key players in the Deep House & Nu Disco scene, such as Jacques Renault, Nicholas, Mic Newman, Iron Curtis, Cottam and Ooft.

With this kind of endorsement behind them, the guys followed up with their second release in March of this year with ‘Mels Pockets’ on Carry On Records out of Frankfurt, Germany. Again too- this release was on a beautiful green limited edition 12" vinyl (but also available digitally) and came with awesome remixes by Pete Herbert and him-Ooft. More top support on this release came from top names such as Ben Watt, Ajello, Trickski, Charles Webster and The Unabombers.

Now on a roll, the guys dropped their 3rd release ‘Absolute’ on Scotland’s prestigious Solardisco Recordings just a few weeks back. This boy- track was immediately supported by the mighty Aeroplane!

In the background of all this hype, Ric & Sean have been setting up their Seven Music label as a new platform for their newest output.

2011 is a year you’re going to be hearing a lot about South West Seven and Seven new-Music! :)
