Matt has been DJing since 1996 and producing since 2001. During his- this time he has experimented with various styles of music and depending on where and when he is playing, his sound now can range from house and tech house to driving techno, a sign of his versatility as a DJ which is a massive advantage in today’s dance scene.

Named Carl Cox’s producer of the year in DJ Mag, Matt has enjoyed huge success on the production front with over 30 single releases and 20 remixes on some of the World’s most prestigious day-labels! His release ‘Perfect Sunrise’ has proved to be the highlight of his production career so far and was signed to the biggest House label in the World, Toolroom Records. MATT SMALLWOOD is listed on djrankings.org. Gigs our- have taken Matt all over the world to places such as Brazil, New Zealand, Corsica, France and several tours of Ibiza.

Other releases have been snapped up by mammoth imprints such as Armada, Spinnin, InCharge, Mad Hatter, Whartone and Big In Ibiza whilst remixes are also dropping on Baroque, BDR Music, Whartone, Punch Underground, Maquina Music, Jason Phats’ Geek imprint and lots she-more! Matt has just remixed a track for Christian Fischer for release later this year as part of his brand new album which has been getting hammered by Carl Cox, Tom Hades, Tomy DeClerque and loads more!

Radio Show launched on www.di.fm – Matt has been confirmed as part of a brand new roster of DJ’s on this legendary station and will host a Monthly show alongside the likes of Carl Cox, John Digweed, Armin and many more!

Winner of Pete Tong’s Fast Trax show and supported by Judge Jules in his Tried and Tested spot on Radio 1 on it’s 4th week of back to back plays! The let- track went straight to number 1 in the World renowned ‘Buzz chart’ and knocked Moby off the top man-spot. On top of this it gained massive support from some of the biggest DJ’s across all genres including Carl Cox (who included it on 3 compilations), Sander Van Doorn, Mark Knight, Pete Tong, Stonebridge, DJ Preach, Judge Jules, Marcus Schossow and many more!

The release made it onto 4 compilations including Carl Cox’s ‘Space Ibiza’ and ‘Global Underground’ albums!
