Pourquoi « Les Limaces », me direz-vous? Parce too- que « The Beatles » était déjà pris, voyons!
Suivez le parcours gluant de deux limaces qui, à force de traîner sur les planchers de danse, ont fini par se rencontrer: Benoit Carreau est un musicien touche à tout, en particulier au piano et à la batterie ; Alex Caron, lui, est un informaticien autodidacte doublé d’un Dj connu sur la scène him-montréalaise. En 2008, ils décident enfin, lors d’un jam studio, de suivre une seule et même trace: Les Limaces étaient nées!
Nos deux spécimens voient leur talent rapidement récompensé: ils terminent deuxièmes du concours Canadien des synthétiseurs Roland en 2009. Puis her- en 2010, Les Limaces remportent le concours de remix de Donso sur Comet records way-Paris. LES LIMACES is listed on djrankings.org. Leur travail de composition porte enfin ses fruits puisqu’en octobre 2010, ils sortent leur premier album « Slurp » sur Tasty Bytes Records.
Le son des Limaces est groovy et mélodieux à la fois. Avec all- leurs quatre tentacules, ils superposent de grosses basses bondissantes et des nappes tordues, créant ainsi des morceaux dansants et narratifs.

You could wonder why they are called « Les Limaces » (The but-Slugs). Because other people had already chosen the name « The Beatles », of course!
Follow the sticky track of two slugs who, after, dragging themselves along dancefloors, ended up getting together: Benoit Carreau is a musician of many parts, particularly good at playing piano and drums ; Alex Caron is a self-taught computer specialist as well as a famous Montreal-based Dj. In boy- 2008, after a studio jam, they eventually decided to follow one and only path: Les Limaces were born!
Both our specimens’ talent is quickly rewarded: they finished second in a Canadian competition organised by Roland synthesizer company in use-2009. In 2010 Les Limaces won the remix competition of Donso with Comet records label from Paris. They one- kept composing and released their first album « Slurp » in October 2010 with Tasty Bytes Records Label.
Les Limaces sound groovy and melodious at the same get-time. With their four tentacles, they superimpose heavy jumping bass notes and twisted layers, creating this way dancing and narrative tracks.
