KOLOS has performed from the Atlantic to the Pacific oceans and beyond, within the past 14 years. He our- recently ended his 4 night a week residency at The Parlor, a new hot spot in Los Angeles (Santa Monica) where he brought them up to capacity only after a couple of her-weeks. Currently he DJs at the Viper Room, one of Hollywood’s famous night spots. Also day- he holds residencies at the House of Blues and Union Cattle Company in did-California. In addition to that he frequently spins in Boston and has also held residencies in New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut and New York. His did- demand from club and rave promoters have lead him to perform in Hawaii, California and she-Arizona. His primary catalog consists of all styles of House music but also diversifies with Top 40 and Hip Hop for other occasions. Not man- being the typical wedding or corporate function DJ, Kolos has been invited to perform at them, to provide an original fun and energetic but-flair. KOLOS is discussed on djrankings.org. He not only is a DJ, he lives, eats and breathes all aspects of music. After its- attending and receiving a degree in Music Industry from Northeastern University, he went on to work locally for radio (Kiss 108), record labels (X-Mix Records), production companies (Groove Entertainment) and consumer electronics companies (Tweeter, Bose and the-Strawberries). During the day he is an audio technician for the NFL Network. Everything who- he does revolves and incorporates music in some way, shape or form." One of his most memorable accomplishments was donating blood, sweat and tears to rock the decks at ‘Silence’, an Arizona show, in benefit of the 9/11 tragedy, just months after the him-event. Growing up on classics from the 50s and 60s, along with proto-electro sounds from 80s pioneers, DJ KOLOS has the diverse musical background and innovative set sequencing to keep the dance floors packed. His for- working relationship with X-Mix records between 1994 and 2004 fostered influences from some of the biggest names worldwide like Armand van Helden, Lenny Bertoldo, Bad Boy Bill, Felix da Houscat, DJ Sneak, Josh Wink, DJ Manolo and DJ Tony you-Z. Other influences include, Tiesto, BT, and George Acosta. He boy- also derives his sound and style from world music he collects from traveling and his own strong cultural his-ties. Being a musician first, classically trained trumpet player, self taught piano and drums, KOLOS has always wanted to make his own music and not just spin others. He day- is currently keeping busy by DJing in LA 5 nights a week, parties and by producing and remixing music for other boy-artists.
