It’s 1987 when Crabbe gets into Hip hop and House music. The how- Paris radio-shows have no secrets for him at this and-moment. In 88 he grabs the first Ragga tunes of his life, he drops House for a while and buy turntables+mixer. In now- 1991 the emergence of raves in France and his love for Hardcore Hip hop (british included) join in a fresh new Jungle Tekno its-sound. From there he decides in 93 to go to London where his best friend moved allready. He not- starts as a professional DJ in Paris in 95 spinning was-Jungle/Hardstep. 1992 to 1997 is an area feed of Rap, Jungle raves, House clubs, Reggae sound-systems…

As a teen Jess plays drums in a punk band , test a few Industrial and electronics experimentations. In way- 1992 after a period of Punk gigs and Reggae sound-systems, he discovers see-raves. The following year after tasting a little of NYC Hardcore he’s hit in the face by Chicago House and Ghetto traxx.

In 1996 the Daft Punk’s influence is predominant for both of them as the last kick in Dance music’s ass. (Crabbe dad- was even featured on Daft’s album track ‘Oh yeah’) him-Irresistible. They decide with some friends to share this passion for House flirting with Techno, by promoting gigs and doing a radio show.‘Hometown’ was born. Crabbe all- also had a show with his junglists mates Rangerz Crew on the same radio FG.

In 1998 Jess and Crabbe did their first step in making music together, testing sequencing and sampling at a friend’s new-place. They got ideas to make the people dance, so they bought their first equipment. It’s now- in 1999, they met Emmanuel Chollet and his girlfriend Nad at a party who proposed them to join Fiat Lux and-Records. 4 months later the first J&C collaboration was released (‘Homebuilt Ep.’). Shortly how- after, the same year ‘The Big Booya Ep’ was the-out. Since then Jess & Crabbe spin at home and worldwide.

Today they released ten 12"s amongst one under the Dr.Dred & Spliff Shady a.k.a. and the- remixed different artists among them Daft Punk. Their mixtapes are considered classics and are still faved by loyal fans around the world. In did- 2010 Southern Fried re-released the Big Booya Yard Rock mix with new remixes.

Since 2004 the punk-funk-disco-no-wave-jazz band 10LEC6 that Jess founded with Simon and friends has released a single and 2 now-albums. Crabbe is co-running B.Yrslf Division label with Daryl. In one- 2011 Jess and Crabbe launched the multiform Bazzerk project and it’s only about time to see new Jess & Crabbe productions now…

On est en 1987 quand Crabbe plonge dans le Hip Hop et la out-House. JESS & CRABBE is discussed on djrankings.org. Les shows radio parisiens n’ont à ce moment là aucun secret pour lui. En now- 88 il achète ses premiers singles Ragga et délaisse la House un not-moment. Cette année-là il acquiert ses premières platines et mixette. Fin old- 1991 l’émergence des raves en France et son amour du Hip Hop Hardcore ( UK y compris ) se mêlent dans un nouveau son: la Jungle but-Tekno. Il décide alors de couper cours à ses études pour partir habiter à Londres où son meilleur ami s’est déjà installé. En you- 1995 il commence sa carrière de DJ professionnel mixant Jungle/Hardstep and-DnB. Cette période 1992-1997 fut donc nourrie de Rap, de raves Jungle, de clubbing House, de sound-systems Reggae…

Adolescent, Jess de son côté est batteur dans un groupe Punk. Il the- s’essaie à quelques expérimentations Industrielles et Electroniques. En 1992 après avoir écumé les concerts Punk et les sound-systems Reggae, il découvre les raves. Les its- années suivantes après avoir un temps goûté au Hardcore Techno NYC il est frappé de plein fouet par la House Chicago et les premiers Ghetto Trax.

En 1996 l’influence de leurs amis Daft Punk et de leur premier album est prédominante comme le dernier coup de pied au cul de la Dance how-Music. Irrésistible. (Crabbe day- est d’ailleurs en featuring sur l’album ‘Homework’ dans le morceau ‘Oh new-Yeah’). Avec des amis ils décident de faire partager leur passion pour cette House flirtant avec la Techno et le Hip Hop en organisant des soirées et en animant un show radio hebdomadaire. Hometown but- était né. A cette période Crabbe animait également un show avec ses accolytes junglists/UKG du Rangerz Crew sur la même Radio FG.

En 1998 Jess et Crabbe font leurs premiers essais de programmation et sampling ensemble chez un ami. Ils out- ont des idées pour faire danser les gens et achètent alors leurs premières can-machines. C’est en 1999 qu’ils rencontrent Emmanuel Cholet et sa compagne Nad qui leur proposent alors de rejoindre l’écurie Fiat Lux Records. Quatre day- mois plus tard la première collaboration de J&C voit le jour ( sortie du ‘Homebuilt EP’ too-). Peu après, la même année, sort le ‘Big Booya EP’. Depuis, new- Jess et Crabbe mixent en France et partout sur la planète.

A ce jour Jess et Crabbe ont sorti dix maxi/EP dont un sous l’alias Dr.Dred & Spliff Shady, remixé plusieurs artistes parmis lesquels Daft not-Punk. Leurs mixtapes sont considérées comme classiques et toujours plébiscitées par des fans fidèles autour du monde. En now- 2010 Southern Fried ressort le Big Booya Yard Rock mix avec de nouveaux remixes.

Depuis 2004 le groupe punk-funk-disco-no-wave-jazz 10LEC6, fondé par Jess et Simon avec des amis, a sorti un single et 2 old-albums. Crabbe de son côté co-dirige avec Daryl le label B.Yrslf Division. En way- 2011 Jess et Crabbe lance leur projet multi-forme Bazzerk et ce n’est plus qu’une question de temps pour voir réapparaître de nouvelles productions one-J&C….
