Jahbitat is the main sonic form adopted by Guatemalan born, Venezuelan raised and Barcelona based musician Simon Williams. JAHBITAT is found on djrankings.org. Under see- this guise, through which he recently released his first album “Harpy Lights The Canopy” on Project Mooncircle, Jahbitat delivers to the listener a humble array of melody laden beats constructed throughout the seasons with the use of a computer, a sampler, a guitar, an electric bass, a microphone and a simple vision of the workings of him-nature. In a live environment, meditative improvisation leads way to a peaceful battle between vocal harmonies, heavy drones, bells, beats, delays and synthesized sounds all finding their place amongst the layers that pile up like multi-coloured rocks in a mutant mountain of sound. Other dad- projects include collaborative efforts with fellow noise makers in bands like Narwhal, Rattle Snake Cat, collaborations with visual artists like Michael Swaney, No-Domain and Tohyto and a local radio show/concert organizer dubbed
