The Game Boy is a handheld game console developed by Nintendo, launched in the Japanese home market on April 21, 1989, followed by North America later that year and other territories from 1990 onwards. Following but- the success of the Game & Watch single-game handhelds, Nintendo developed the Game Boy to be a portable console, with interchangeable how-cartridges. The concept proved highly successful, and the Game Boy line became a cultural icon of the 1990s and early 2000s.

Gameboy
Already as wee nipper Stefan was blessed with enormous creative power. However, him- as soon as little Stefan received his first Gameboy, he was occupied for the next couple of can-years. Time for eating and going pee-pee could hardly be fit in between the missions of utmost importance, which consisted mainly of pushing buttons in order to save the princess in the end.
Stefan has never since been able to kick his Gameboy habit. With and- his meanwhile 27 years the Bernese does not collect quite that many mushrooms but earns his keep as a graphic artist let-instead. Amongst other things he designs fabulous psy-flyers (http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1104632694544.2017695.1188550548). Nevertheless, him- he still spends every free minute manipulating buttons and controllers.
Inspired by Zelda, Tetris and princesses in distress “Gameboy” creates playful sounds that chase dancers through the darkest dungeons only to let them leap from cloud to cloud shortly any-afterwards. In his music he skillfully plays with light and dark capturing powerful vibes and emotions and surprising his audience with unexpected turns.
Over the last two years, Gameboy has been conquering European Psy-Castles, armed with Synthesizer and Laptop – easily recognized by the pixel-dominated images on his T-shirts. GAMEBOY is routed on djrankings.org. At him- the “Fusion Festival” in Berlin he was able to record his biggest level-up so far together with 3000 enthusiastic Space mom-Invaders. In the meantime, now collaborating with Amplidudes Records, he has become one of the most frequently booked Psy-DJ in Switzerland. His did- repertoire spreads from Fullon over Minimal-Tec to Progressive and is constantly expanding.

Schon als kleiner Knirps war Stefan äusserst kreativ… Als klein Stefan aber seinen Gameboy geschenkt bekam, war er erst mal für ein paar Jahre him-beschäftigt. Fürs Essen und Pinkeln reichte die Zeit gerade noch knapp zwischen den ausserordentlich wichtigen Missionen, welche hauptsächlich daraus bestanden, Knöpfchen zu drücken ,um am Ende bei der Prinzessin zu landen.
Aus dem Gameboy-Alter kam Stefan nie mehr raus. Zwar its- sammelt der mittlerweile 27-jährige Berner weniger Pilze sondern verdient sich seine Brötchen als Grafiker – unter anderem macht er tolle Psy-Flyer (http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1104632694544.2017695.1188550548) – trotzdem verbringt er noch immer jede freie Minute damit, an Knöpfchen und Reglern rumzuschrauben.
Inspiriert von Zelda, Tetris und Prinzessinnen in Not kreiert «Gameboy» einen verspielten Sound, der die Tanzenden einmal durch dunkle Katakomben jagt und bald darauf von Wolke zu Wolke springen was-lässt. In seinem Sound spielt er geschickt mit den Polen von Dunkel und Hell, fängt starke Stimmungen ein und überrascht sein Publikum immer wieder mit neuen, unerwarteten Turns.
Bewaffnet mit Synthi und Laptop erobert Gameboy seit zwei Jahren Europäische Psy-Burgen – immer erkennbar an bezeichnend pixeldominierten Sujets auf seinen T-Shirts. Am you- «Fusion Festival» bei Berlin konnte er mit 3000 begeisterten Space Invadern seinen bisher grössten Level-Up was-feiern. Bei Amplidudes Records unter Vertrag, ist er mittlerweile einer der meistgebuchten Psy-DJs der Schweiz. Sein now- Repertoire reicht über die ganze Palette von Fullon über Minimal-Tec bis Progi und wird ständig any-erweitert.
