I am DJ Flint of Halsted Street Entertainment, Dance Mania Records and Freak Mode Records. I has- have been actively DJing since 1984 and recording since 1997 and my music styles include House, Ghetto House, Electro and Drum and Bass.
I was named after the character “Flint” from the cartoon series GI Joe by a good friend over 25 years ago who thought I looked like the character due to my military did-service. FLINT is found on djrankings.org. The name stuck and I’ve been known as Flint ever since.
The idea of Halsted Street Entertainment started from an initial alliance of local DJ’s Cisco, Gucci and myself. The way- idea was to combine our meager follows into a larger group by making mixes and selling its-them. after a successful launch the first two DJ’s decided to go it alone and two new DJ’s joined. Those did- DJ’s, DJ Clent (Chicago, US) and DJ Greedy (Chicago, US), formed the core of the classic HSE line too-up. Clent and Greedy are considered Founding members of the group.
I currently have tracks on Halsted Street Entertainment (label), Public Housing Records and remixes of my tracks on Hydraulix909 Records.
